NBA Show goes Pro

The NBA show is excited to announce that we’ve been granted press credentials for this weeks Reebok Rocky Mountain Review!
The RMR is one of the premier summer tournaments for NBA rookies and young veterans. We’ll have access to players for interviews, and we want to hear from our listeners: what questions do you want us to ask? Want to know what Atlanta’s #2 pick Marvin Williams eats for breakfast? What kind of car does Seattle’s Robert Swift drive? What’s on #3 pick Deron Williams iPod?
Let us know what you’d like to ask (within reason… we want to get invited back next year) and we’ll see what we can do. Post your questions in the comments for this post, or email them to nbashow@gmail.com
thanks for listening!

Well Done Guys!!!! Great thought. I actually wondered what you would have to do to get into Press conferences and stuff for the AFL and AFL Clubs? Ever checked Cam? (if you listen to these comments, Cameron Reilly that is)

So who did you talk to about getting the press passes? I know that when I inquired about 5 years ago the NBA wasn’t allowing “internet” based news sources to receive press passes. I understand this has changed the last few years - congratulations!

Hi Ryan. Steve contacted the PR person at the Utah Jazz directly to get press passes. He had to contact her several times before she finally relented and gave us our passes.
The revue is a pretty small event in NBA terms, and there weren’t a lot of press passes issued. If it had been a larger event, I wonder if she would have given us passes.
Aside from the local newspapers and TV, and NBA TV, all the other press I talked to were internet press. Maybe times have changed? I’m planning on contacting the Sonics PR to see what is involved in getting press credentials for Sonics games, watch this spot to see how it goes.
