How freaking pathetic can you be?
You start talking Eastern Conference. Okay, cool. 10 minutes of that is fine. You then go on for six minutes talking Suns, you mention almost every Sun on the roster and their future with Amare Stoudamire (insightful comment at the 14 min mark “with the return of Stoudamire Phoenix can only get better” or something like that. DEEP.
So now you mention Dirk and don’t bring up the name of a single other Dallas player in less than two minutes talk re: the Mavericks. And then you don’t even know for sure that Dallas has home court.
You also didn’t know that the league did the Mavs a favor by giving Mbenga a 6 game susepnsion rather than a 5 game one. With a 5 game suspension a team cannot replace his spot on the roster. With a six game suspension you’re allowed to replace the spot (Josh Powell filled the spot).
I’ve listened to your broadcast for months. I deal with the pauses and lack of knowledge because I like hearing NBA talk that much, but I was really amazed that you’re talking NBA finals and you spend 16 minutes breaking down Miami, Detroit and Phoenix and then give the Mavs less than two minutes, mentioning one player (before the Mbenga talk later).
Pretty pathetic.

ouch! that’s some harsh feedback john.
sometimes it’s hard to balance a full time job, family responsibilities, a life of our own, and still put in quality time researching and getting ready for a show. the long season has really started to burn us out, and I guess we mailed this one in.
I really appreciate the feedback, and we’ll work to bring our A game next time.
Sorry if we didn’t give your Mavs the love they deserve.

Hey guys,
You are doing a fine job with your personal commentaries on the NBA. I appreciate your comments, candid banter and entertainment you bring to this type of arena.
If I wanted the EPSN show or wanted to hear more of the offical NBA commentaries, I would tune into those shows. Hopefully those listeners can identify with the three of you that this is three buddies doing what they love to do….talking hoops.
Maybe we should all just pop a cold one, sit back, relax and enjoy the ride!
Cheers!

Hey Dirk Fan, shame Mavs didn’t win. I had a look at your link and it totally cracked me up. Really like the Yao Ming family portrait, eheheh.

Hey, I’ was wondering what you guys think about the Trail Blazers this season! I now live in Portland, and have begun to follow them. They haven’t had such a good season last year (horrible), but this year could turn some heads. Jamal Maglorie (sorry spelling), Brandon Roy and Alderidge. They are looking pretty good,
also the Blazers started to go down hill right when Damon (Stoudamire) left the team. Damons a great player, he almost achived 3 triple doubles right before the end of the year, so I ask you: why did they get rid of him? He was clean (drugs), he worked hard, didn’t complain (to my knowing) and he was a great player.
Thanks guys, love the show - keep it up!

Hi guys I’m really into the NBA myself and I like your show. The commentary is intelligent, and it’s funny in a witty, conservative way.
But let’s get some more shows.
We just a draft! I think maybe the draft class is so weak that you guys aren’t interested. At least you can talk about the Knicks, everyone can talk about the knicks right (balkman)? Or this basketball FIBA thing in Japan.
I just struggle during the off-season. Let’s get some more action!
